A Eulogy to Norfolk Roadside Wares

Gluttony took hold - at the sight of Wiveton Hall's Strawberries 

- earthy,thick and sweet /  ...walking at Freshes, 
beneath my toes (hush!) the first sprigs 
of Samphire/ from a shed down a Blakeney alley
...Fresh Dressed Crab/

 ...and from a farmyard in Hindol'/ the first broadbeans 

small, raw-sweet as peas... and half a dozen Welsummer eggs/ terracotta red.

An afternoon, a eulogy to Norfolk roadside wares.
